Former Selangor Mentri Besar Dr Mohd Khir Toyo walked free today after completing a two-month parole, announcing plans to start a non-governmental organisation to help prisoners currently serving their sentences.
The Star Online reported that Dr Mohd Khir — who was sentenced to 12 months in prison after he was found guilty of corruption— signed his end-of-parole papers at the Klang District Parole office.
He had served half the sentence before he was paroled in March.
