Former lecturer found murdered at Penang home

A former lecturer was found murdered at his apartment on Thursday.

According to The Star Online, the naked body of Norlisham Nordin, 34, was found with two stab wounds — one on his right shoulder and the other on the left side of his neck — and his head wrapped in a bed sheet.

Norlisham’s friend made the gory discovery when he went to his apartment unit at Pinang Court 2 to look for him at around 1pm.

The victim, who is reportedly running an online business selling clothes and handbags, had been staying alone for quite sometime, the news portal reported.

George Town OCPD Asst Comm Mior Faridalathrash Wahid told the news portal that the victim, who was also a part-time model, could have been dead for more than 48 hours.

“There was no sign of a break-in, although the furniture and things in the house were a bit disorganised.

“Both the grille and wooden doors were locked and we could not get in initially. We had to call the Fire and Rescue Department to break into the house,” ACP Mior was quoted as saying.
