Form Five student run over by trailer lorry in Seremban

A Form Five secondary school student was killed this morning when she and the morotcycle she was riding became involved in a traffic collision with a trailer lorry and a car in Jalan Seremban-Kuala Pilah, Ampangan, near Seremban. 

Seremban district police chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Hrun said in the 6.50am incident, the victim, one Dina Shuhadah Ahmad Fariz, 17, from Lavender Height, was en route from Kuala Pilah headed to Seremban, when she ran against a car coming from the same direction and lost control of her motorcycle. 

While she brushed up against the car, a trailer lorry was coming in the opposite direction. The victim and her motorcycle was caught and pulled into the rear tyres of the lorry. 

ACP Muamad Zaku said the victim died on the spot, from massive injuries to the head and body. 

Bertia Harian reports that the victim’s remains were taken to Tuanku Jaafar Hospital in Seremban for post-mortem. 

The drivers of both the car and the trailer lorry were unharmed in the incident. 

Police are now investigating the case under Section 41 of the Road Transportation Act 1987.
