A Form Five student attending school in Alor Setar, Kedah reportedly laid into her classmate while her father stood by a few feet away.
The Chinese-language Guang Ming Daily reported that the schoolgirl, fed up with being bullied by the student who would become her assault victim, decided to confront her tormenter with her father in tow.
A school security guard attempted to step in and break up the fight, but was initially blocked by the assailant’s father. The security guard eventually got through and stopped the assault, however.
The girl’s mother, contacted by the GM Daily later, said that the girl fought back against her bully after “getting permission” from her father.
The school has since called up the parents of both students to resolve the issue.
