If this had turned up anywhere else other than Ikea Malaysia’s own Facebook page, we would have dismissed it as a Photoshop job. And yet here it is: Ikea’s LÖNE singleton dining table is the perfect piece of furniture for the lonely and/or narcissistic, and it’s taken the Internet by storm. If you’ve ever fancied having an intimate candlelit dinner with the most fascinating person you know (read: you) … or maybe you just want to have a passive aggressive meal with the cause of your crippling loneliness (read: also you), then by all means, whip out that credit card and pick up the flatpack.
That said, if this thing is still on the catalogue after April Fool’s, we’re getting one.
