A little girl in Kajang fell four floors from the balcony of her family’s condominium unit and — miraculously — escaped with minor injuries.
The five-year-old has been alone at her home in Sungai Long when the incident happened around 4pm on Wednesday, The Star Online reports.
Her mum had been out buying groceries while her dad was working, Kajang deputy police chief Supt Abdul Ghani Mohamad Ji was quoted as saying.
The girl had apparently been in a walker and slowly strolled out to the balcony.
“A few residents saw the child on the balcony and even waved at her, not knowing that she was unsupervised,” the daily reported Ghani as saying.
He added that the child then got out of the walker, climbed over the rail and to the horror of those watching, fell on the roof of an outdoor parking lot.
She suffered fractures to her legs and is now treated at the Kajang Hospital.
