Fish farmer brutally hacked outside restaurant

A fish farmer nearly lost his life when he was attacked by four men with parang outside a restaurant in Nibong Tebal on Wednesday.

According to The Star Online, Goh Kim Huat was at the restaurant in Jalan Ooi Kar Seng with a group of people when the men attacked him just after midnight.

The brutal assault left the 43-year-old with an almost severed left foot and deep slash wounds on his other limbs.

He is reportedly unconscious and in serious condition at the Sungai Bakap Hospital.

OCPD Supt Shafee Abdul Samad told the news portal that the police were waiting to record a statement from the victim.

“We have CCTV footage of the men attacking him while another waited in a car,” Supt Shafee was quoted as saying, adding that the authorities are investigating the case as attempted murder.
