Firemen free boy’s finger from spanner

It was a pretty nerve-wrecking few hours for a nine-year-boy from Kulim when he accidentally got his finger stuck in a spanner.

According to The New Straits Times, the boy was playing with his bicycle early Saturday morning when his index finger got jammed in a spanner.

Despite numerous attempts, the boy’s parents failed to free the boy’s finger from the tool.

As a final resort, the parents decided to drive over to the Kulim Hi Tech Fire and Rescue Department to ask the firemen for help. After assessing the situation, the firemen decided to use a grinder to saw off the spanner.

According to the report, the firemen managed to free the boy’s finger in less than three minutes.

The good news is; he doesn’t need to go to school with a spanner stuck on his finger and he now has a pretty awesome story to tell his family and friends during Hari Raya.
