Fireman critically injured on his way to work

A fireman was critically injured when his motorcycle ploughed into a stationary vehicle on KM281 of the North-South Expressway (PLUS).

According to The Star Online, Syamsul Azli Nazari was riding his way to work from his house in Senawang to the Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department when he rammed into the empty car parked by the side of the road at 7.30pm on Wednesday.

As a result of the nasty collision, Syamsul Azli, who was reporting for a 12-hour shift at 8pm, fractured his skull and spine and was sent to the Hospital Tuanku Jaafar in Seremban for treatment.

Putrajaya Fire and Rescue Department Director Md Hilman Abd Rashid told The Star Online: “I visited Syamsul at the hospital on Wednesday night and his condition is quite serious.

“We are waiting to hear if his condition has stabilised.”
