Firefly is the world’s cheapest airline

A online airline comparison site has ranked Firefly the world’s cheapest airline, beating out more renowned budget airlines such as Ryanair, Singapore’s tigerair, and yes, even AirAsia. 

The site, www.whichairline.com, came to the results by averaging the cost of a one-way ticket, plus the cost of 20 kilograms of checked baggage. Firefly came out on top with an average cost of EUR 30 (RM132) for a one-way flight with checked baggage. 

AirAsia, widely regarded the world’s best budget airline, came it at fourth place, with an average cost of EUR50 (RM219) per one-way ticket with checked baggage.
