The Kota Bahru Fire and Rescue Department had an most unusual emergency assignment on Sunday morning when they were called up to remove a man’s penis ring that got stuck.
Four firefighters were asked to help out at the Hospital Raja Perempuan Zainab II when hospital staff were unable to remove the makeshift sex toy, a repurposed automobile spare bearing, from one of the emergency room patients there.
Kota Bahru fire chief Zaini Bidin told Astro Awani, “The motives behind the 22-year old fastening the ring onto his genitals are not clear. You know how these young people are.”
“Doctors are trained to cut up people, not things like this. So we were asked to assist,” he added. “We did our best to remove the ring, and had to get creative to do so.”
Since posting up their short (!) report on the incident, the Fire and Rescue Department’s Facebook post has been share more than 1,600 times and Liked more than 10,000 times – presumably because people on the internet care.
