Motorcycle licence fees have been reduced from RM350 to RM299, a move authorities believe could deal with the problem of riders without licences.
The Star Online quotes Transport Minister Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai as saying that three in ten youths have been found tobe riding without licences.
We found that as many as three in ten youngsters were still riding without a licence. Such an act is serious and unacceptable,” he reportedly said.
He added that driving schools were in agreement with this plan which will come into effect through the MyLesen programme which will be launched on Sept 15.
