A popular fast food franchise said they were fully cooperating with the police, who are looking into an alleged attempted sexual assault on a customer at one of its Johor Baru outlets.
According to Free Malaysia Today, the fast food franchise said it had given full access to the authorities to interview its staff, as well as view CCTV recordings on the day of the alleged incident.
“We believe that our strong cooperation has contributed to the authorities being able to conduct a speedy investigation leading to the arrest of a suspect,” said the franchise in a brief statement.
They were further quoted as saying that they want to see the perpetrator “brought to justice” as they took the welfare and the safety of their customers very seriously.
“Our hearts go out to the victim and we pray for her well-being and speedy recovery.”
On Wednesday, a part-time worker at the outlet was arrested by the police after he allegedly attempted to rape a woman in the toilet of the restaurant.
