Fasha Sandha’s maids are going to jail for theft

Two maids working for local leading lady Fasha Sandha have been sentenced to six month’s jail after they were found guilty of stealing from the actress and her husband.

The two Indonesian maids, Nilawati, 39, and Sri Maniami, 35, pleaded guilty to the charge of stealing cash in the form of ringgit and Indonesian rupiah from the couple’s home in Duta Suria, Ampang at around 9.45pm on March 12.

Fasha’s husband Rizan Ashram Ramli, better known as Jejai, was informed by his personal assistant that the couple’s neighbours had noticed the doors of their home were left unlocked and that their mids had gone missing.

When the police arrested Nilawati and Sri Maniami, the pair were found with RM200 in their possession.

The two maids pleased for leniency in court, saying they had taken the money in order to be able to go home and be with their families during the upcoming Ramadhan fasting month, The Star Online‘s Qishin Tariq reports.

Magistrate Zulyana Zollkapli  sentenced the two to six month’s jail, under Section 381 for theft.
