So, another group of tourists have taken their clothes off in Sabah and authorities are seeking the help of Interpol to get them.
Four photos of these tourists — reportedly from China — surfaced on Facebook, putting them almost immediately under the radar of local police. The incident had taken place in Sibuan island.
According to The Star Online, cops in Semporna were tipped off by a local resident on Tuesday right after the images appeared on social media.
“We will seek the help of Interpol to identify the people in the photograph and also seek the Immigration’s help to check when they entered Sabah,” Semporna police chief Supt Peter Umbuas was quoted as saying.
He also said that these photos were not taken recently; it could have been anytime between 2013 and two weeks ago.
In May, a group of tourists stripped on Mount Kinabalu, triggering anger from Sabahans for disrespecting the sacred mountain. Their actions were blamed for causing a 5.9-magnitude earthquake that killed 18 people on June 5.
