Expect some minor LRT delays till end of the month, commuters!

It’s going to be a long month for LRT commuters.

Prasarana Malaysia Berhad told Bernama that train services for the the Sri Petaling LRT line will experience delays starting from Tuesday until the end of the month.

This is due to train tracks replacement works between the PWTC and Titiwangsa stations.

The company, which runs the Rapid KL LRT and Monorail train services, said in a statement cited by the news portal that they will be replacing the tracks at night, from 1am to 4am.

“The upgrading work will be carried out in stages and the old rails will be cut out and replaced with new ones.

“The work will be monitored in detail by Rapid KL’s team of engineers to ensure work that work progresses smoothly and complies with procedures. There will be no disruptions to train services,” Prasarana said in the statement.

As such, trains between the two stations will move at a reduced speed and commuters can expect at least a one minute increase in waiting time.

Hey, as long as the trains do not break down like what happened last week, we’re good.
