Eight major roads will be closed in stages from Friday to Monday to make way for the upcoming Asean Summit that’s happening at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.
These roads are Jalan Sultan Ismail, Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Pinang, Jalan Raja Chulan, Jalan Kia Peng, Jalan Perak and Jalan Binjai, The Star Online reports.
City traffic police chief Asst Comm Mohd Nadzri Hussain was quoted as saying that these roads will be closed intermittently during the summit.
“The road closures are brief and temporary.Road users can also use alternative routes to their destination, if they want to,” he was quoted as saying.
Mohd Nadzri added that police would close the roads for two to six minutes from 7.30am to 8.45am throughout the duration of the event.
