Ed Sheeran is coming to Malaysia this November, and if you’re looking to get tickets, we hate to be the ones to tell you, but they’re already sold-out. After going on sale this morning at 10AM, they tickets were gone in minutes.
Fans are already complaining on social media that the only available options are now ticket scalpers. Resellers are currently pitting the cost of a single general admission ticket at nearly RM1000 on marketplace site Viagogo.
In support of his newest album ÷ (Divide), Sheeran is also playing 2 shows in Singapore. Those gigs are sold-out as well, and have been marred by controversy that an employee from ticket reseller Sports Hub had managed to secure 200 tickets and was now selling at a profit. A quick look at Viagogo shows that Cat 1 tickets are being sold at $13,516.17 each, which 54 times more than the original $248 price.
This will be Sheeran’s second time in Malaysia. In 2015, he made a tour stop in KL, and during his downtime, headed to the long-running Sunday Funk night at the Spanish restaurant La Bodega in Bangsar. Social media picked up on the celeb sighting, and the room was packed within the hour. Here’s to hoping he’s got nothing to do on Wednesday night, and we can catch him out and about.
