A Dutch grafitti artist who allegedly wanted to paint on LRT trains was arrested by Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana) auxiliary policemen on Wednesday.
According to The Star Online, the 34-year-old was caught trespassing the Chan Sow Lin LRT Station at 4.30am.
Prasarana spokesman Lim Jin Aun told the news portal that a team of auxiliary policemen spotted the man as he was climbing the LRT fence under the viaduct near Pudu police station and immediately apprehended him.
“The suspect has been brought to the police station for questioning where he admitted that he was from the street artist group, Woohoo.
“We confiscated graffiti equipment from him, including seven paint sprayers, a pair of gloves and four keys that resemble train keys.
“If the trains were tampered with, they would have to be sent for cleaning and repainting, which will affect the train services.
“Fortunately, the suspect did not deface the train. As for his motive, we are not 100% sure but there are groups out there who travel round the world to deface public property,” he was quoted as saying.
