Earlier today, Durex Malaysia threw out the two words that would strike fear in any sexually-active, though not necessarily attached, person’s core: Product + Recall.

Gulp.
Yes, turns out that three batches of their “Real Feel” (perhaps too real?) non-latex condoms have been taken off shelves, and Durex is asking you to keep them off your privates.
Durex is urging the public to refer to the product batch numbers printed on the packaging, and refrain from using the affected condoms with serial numbers 1000433144, 1000438055 and 1000422259.

The manufacturer will only say that the products have not passed the brand’s “stringent shelf-life durability tests,” and that there is no immediate danger to the public. They have said that the condoms affected are only “a limited number.”

There you have it! Play it safe: Always use a condom to practice safe sex, and like a pint of milk lingering in the fridge, make sure that lonely condom in your wallet is fresh and within its sell-by date.
In the case of the Real Feel line, double check the serial number to minimize surprises.
