Police have reported today that two suspects in their 20s have been arrested, after the suspected body of a Sabah Grab driver was found in Tuaran. He had been reported missing four days ago, and his Proton Saga was found the following day with blood stains inside.

Arrests were made late last night, when a 20-year-old local man, and a 24-year-old foreigner were taken into custody in the parking lot the 1Borneo Shopping Center.

Victim Mohd Hanafiee Jaafar was last seen on Friday.

After investigators interrogated the duo, they confessed to killing Mohd Hanafiee, and later dumping his body.

“Police found a body in Shabandar area in Tuaran and efforts are underway to identify the body which has started to decompose,” said an officer. They will need to use fingerprints to formally identify the body.

While no motive has yet to be ascertained, officers suspect that robbery was the motive.
