Here’s why you should drink and drive, kids!
A 67 year-old man was killed when a drunk driver crashed his vehicle into his Permatang Pauh home on Wednesday, the New Straits Times reported.
In the 10.45pm incident, Mat Rashid Mat Shariff was reportedly sleeping on the sofa when a Suzuki Vitara crashed through the wall of the living room.
The vehicle reportedly rammed a car just outside Mat Rashid’s house and skidded before crashing into his home.
Mat Rashid reportedly died on the spot due to serious head injuries, and his body was sent to Seberang Jaya Hospital for a post mortem.
Seberang Perai Tengah district police chief Assistant Commissioner Nik Ros Azhan Nik Ab Hamid told the daily that the driver of the vehicle, who was reportedly drunk, escaped with only minor injuries.
ACP Nik Ros added that the case will be investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
