A fiery accident along the Kuala Lumpur-Putrajaya Highway (Maju Expressway-MEX) killed one person yesterday.
The horrific accident, in which the driver of a Perodua MyVi was found burnt to death after the vehicle exploded upon collision with a BMW, happened at 6.57am. Both cars were KL-bound.
According to Bernama, the identity of the MyVi driver was still unclear as the remains had been charred beyond recognition.
City traffic investigation and regulation staff officer DSP S. Markandan however, said that the vehicle was registered under the name of a man from Kuching, Sarawak.
KL Fire and Rescue Department director, Khirudin Drahman said firemen managed to get to the scene 15 minutes after the crash but it was too late as the vehicle was completely burnt.
