An early morning start for one Mercedes driver ended in a headache after the 40-year-old man accelerated his car right into a Kuala Lumpur-area McDonald’s at 6am yesterday.
Luckily no one was hurt in the incident, although the same cannot be said for the two objects involved in the accident. Extensive damage occurred to both man’s car, and the shop front, with it’s front door, wall, and window panel all destroyed. The pics were shared widely on social media yesterday and today.
Police called to the scene tested the man for intoxication, and results turned up negative for the driver, who is a manager at a local company. Instead, officials believe that instead of reversing, the man accidentally pushed the accelerator and drove forward, right into the shop.
So, just a bit of distracted driving? Morning brain blur? McDonald’s management has since filed a police report regarding the incident, and the driver has been issued a traffic summons for careless driving resulting in an accident.
