Former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad has always seemed larger than life, and even when he was on TV, you’d swear he was popping out of the screen telling you to be good citizens. But you probably haven’t seen him in three dimensions quite like this.
The charismatic and still influential elder statesman (although not Perkasa patron, as popularly believed) and his wife Dr Siti Hasmah spent a day having fun in Langkawi’s Art in Paradise Interactive 3D Art Museum (they really need to shorten that name), and we have photos to prove it!
We don’t know what being eaten by a giant panda says about Malaysia’s position vis a vis its relationship with China, but eeeeh we’ll chalk it up to artistic license.
We’re pretty sure Dr Mahathir’s been to Venice before. There’s really no need for this trickery, sir.
See, Siti Hasmah has the right idea. Use the power of illusion to seem like you’re doing something you’ve never done before. At least we think she’s never been on a surfboard before.
Again, Mahathir is rehashing his experiences in real life. He’s been skewered by the international media before. This is just a fancier version of that. Also, that crucifixion pose is uh, a little awkward.
Still the cutest couple in Malaysian politics.
