Sensing the woman was in deep distress, and seeing her badly bruised body, the officer called for an ambulance to send her to the nearby Sungai Buloh Hospital.
A New Straits Times reader managed to capture the dramatic events on camera, and shared the images with the daily:

While her full story is not yet known, authorities can reveal that she is a 32-year-old Vietnamese national who is married to a Malaysian, with one child. Medical checks found bruises both new and old on her body, and also that the victim is 14-weeks pregnant.
Hailing the taxi in the Puchong neighborhood of the city, she did not tell the driver where she wanted to go. Spotting a nearby police vehicle, she bolted from the car and ran towards the authorities; however, she has not given police any statement yet, as she will not speak.
Investigators will today meet with the woman and a Vietnamese translator provided by the country’s embassy.
