Also, 29 people have died from dengue this year, Bernama reports.
“There were 17 death cases in January while 12 cases were recorded until February 21, bringing the total to 29 cases,” state Health, Welfare, Women Affairs and Family Committee chairman, Dr Daroyah Alwi said.
According to the report, the worst affecting area in Selangor is the Petaling district with 5,967 cases followed by 2,222 cases in Hulu Langat and 1,824 cases in Klang.
Several weeks ago, the Health Ministry conducted checks on 46 construction sites that were suspected of breeding mosquitoes. 45 of them were found to committing the offence and are expected to be changed in court.
