Workers renovating a bungalow in Bukit Damansara made a gruesome discovery late yesterday.
They had found the skeletal remains of a woman – believed to be Indonesian – bound and left inside the septic tank of the bungalow, The Star Online’s Nicholas Cheng reports. She had reportedly been dead for over a week.
According to the report, the workers stumbled upon the remains at 6.30pm at the house along Jalan Setia Murni 11. They then notified a police patrol.
It took authorities three hours to battle the foul stench and remove the severely decomposed body – tied up with a rope – from the faeces filled tank, the daily reported.
Brickfields OCPD ACP Muhammad Azlee Abdullah was quoted as saying that eight Bangladeshi men who were living in the bungalow have been arrested over the murder.
