Dead 14-year old boy found in Keramat back alley

The body of a 14-year old boy was found in a back alley in a residential area near Jalan Keramat, yesterday morning.

KL Criminal Investigation Department chief SAC Zainuddin Ahmad told The Star Online‘s Nadirah H Rodzi that the teenager has been identified as on Muhammad Israf Firdaus Abdullah.

His body was found by a passerby who alerted the authorities of the grisly find at around 1.50am.

“We received an alert via 999 from Kuala Lumpur Hospital. Checks on his body before he was brought to the hospital found that there were bruises and blisters on his face.

“Post-mortem result revealed that the cause of death was blunt trauma to the head,” Zainuddin said.

Four men, aged between 20 and 22 years old, were detained to facilitate the murder investigation.

“One of them admitted to being involved in the case and interrogation revealed that a scuffle broke out when one of them saw the victim allegedly attempting to steal car parts belonging to one of his assailants,” he said.

Zainuddin said police were on the lookout for another suspect.

The suspects already detained are expected to be remanded under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code.

The case is being investigated as a murder.
