The Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) wants you to pay up traffic compounds and to get you to do it, it is launching a discount campaign next month.
Bernama reports that the ‘Settle DBKL Arrears’ campaign will run from Aug 6 to 20 at 32 locations throughout the federal capital.
Kuala Lumpur mayor Datuk Seri Mhd Amin Nordin Abd Aziz was quoted as saying that those who have received DBKL compounds would pay the following rates during the campaign period: RM20 for motorcycles, RM30 for cars, MPV, van, small lorry, pickup and SUV and RM100 for heavy vehicles.
“The special rates are to give traffic offenders a chance to settle their outstanding compounds. Last year, there were 1.2 million outstanding compounds valued at RM1.4 million owed by traffic offenders and DBKL hope the special rates will ease the process of settling their debts,” he was quoted as saying.
