A Sabah farmer’s two-day-old baby goat has gone viral, after Malay-language daily Utusan Online released video footage revealing that the lil’ kid was born with only one eye.

Checking in on his pregnant goat Sunday evening, farmer Awang Rosli Mat Taib was surprised to see that her baby had been born with only one eye. He told reporters that the baby was weak, as it could only consume milk via syringe, as its mouth was too small to drink from its mother.

Awang Rosli has named the kid Tuah Jabang, translating to Lucky Baby, and will soon take the animal to the state veterinarian for further check-ups.
Tuah Jabang’s condition, known as cyclopia, occurs one in every 16,000 live animal births.
Documented cases are few and far between, and in most instances the newborn does not live much longer than a week. The condition is often accompanied by other deformities that make life unsustainable.
This just went from cute to crying in three paragraphs. WAIT THO –
Last year, an Indian baby goat suffering from cyclopia defied veterinarians’ predictions of impending death within days of birth.
He has since flourished and is a figure of worship in the northeast of the country. Villagers travel far and wide to visit the cyclops baby, believing the animal to be sacred.
Sending divine vibes Tuah Jabang’s way.
