Brazen robbers attacked a Custom’s Department narcotics unit in Nilai, Seremban, less than an hour from Kuala Lumpur, and left with over RM30 million (US$ 7.34 million) in illicit drugs that had been confiscated by officers in sundry operations.
Masked, the robbers attacked the Department early Sunday morning.
Local media outlet Berita Harian reported that the intruders staged the attack at 3am Sunday morning, entering the premises in a group of ten, having arrived using two four-wheel drive vehicles, and one car.
Two security guards on duty were physically assaulted, and tied up before the thieves broke into a container to take the drugs.
Leaving no questions regarding the motive, nor who may be behind the hit, one of the men reportedly told the guards that the drugs belonged to them.
Well, that settles that!
