A couple met with a gruesome death at the Klang-Teluk Intan road near Shah Alam yesterday when they were run over by a tanker.
Bernama reports that Mohd Razali Mohd Saad, 65, and his wife Jahrah Daud, 49, were riding on a motorcycle when their vehicle grazed the tanker in the 12.55pm incident. Both perished at the scene.
“The victims were believed to be trying to overtake the tanker but they failed to do so and grazed the vehicle,” Kuala Selangor District Police chief Supt Mohd Taib Ahmad told Bernama.
The lorry driver has reportedly been detained.
