Corpse found contaminating Bukit Damansara condo’s water tank

After a few days of receiving tenant complaints of foul-smelling tap water, maintenance staff inspecting the water tank of a Bukit Damansara condominium uncovered a grisly find on Tueday: a corpse had been floating in it.

The male body was found in the water tank at 9.25pm Tuesday night, after repeated complaints form the condo’s tenants that their tap water gave off an unusual and toxic odour.

23-year old tenant Abbas told Kosmo! that he was surprised to find the water supply to his apartment had smelled like raw sewage since Sunday.

Initially, he and his housemates brushed off the foul smell as being caused by rusty pipes, and went on using and consuming it.

“We drank and bathed with that water for five days. We only found out on Wednesday that the smell was caused by a dead body floating in the tank,” he said.

Kosmo! reports that the water tank has since been decontaminated by the building’s management.
