You can run, but you can’t hide forever.
Two men who allegedly hit a Customs vehicle in an attempt to avoid being captured have been arrested, according to The Star Online.
State police chief Comm Datuk Wan Ahmad Najmuddin Mohd told the news portal that the two men, aged 38 and 61, were arrested early Wednesday morning after a series of raids were carried out in the Iskandar Puteri area in Johor Baru.
Comm Wan Ahmad said the two suspects, believed to be tontos, reportedly hit a Customs vehicle in an attempt to avoid checks near the Second Link Crossing in Gelang Patah at 11am on Tuesday.
Four Custom officers reportedly sustained minor injuries after the suspected tontos — one driving a Ford Ranger and the other a Honda Accord — rammed into the Nissan X-Trail they were in during a chase.
“The two are prime suspects in the case, which is being investigated under Section 307 of the Penal Code for attempted murder.
“We have identified their accomplices and are hunting for those still at large,” Comm Ahmad was quoted by The Star as saying.
