Cop gets beaten by 10 men who wouldn’t move their cars in Kajang

In what will almost definitely place the area in the cops’ black book for months to come, a police officer was beaten by 10 men in Kajang after he told them to move their cars on Sunday morning.

During the 6.30am incident in Taman Seri Taming, the officer and a friend were on motorcycles on their way to Taman Desa Baiduri when they spotted two cars – a grey Proton Waja and a black Nissan Sentra – parked in the middle of the road.

Kajang OCPD, ACP Willey Richard told The Star Online that the officer told the 10 men inside the vehicles to move to the side of the road, so as to not obstruct traffic.

When ordered to do so by the police officer, the men seemed incensed, and proceeded to attack the cop, taking away his wallet and mobile pohone in the process.

While injured, the police officer was able to escape the scene. He is reported to be in stable condition.

The case is being investigated under Sections 395 and 397 of the Penal Code, for robbery and causing grievous harm.
