A construction worker at a Mass Rapid Transit project in Petaling Jaya was killed in a freak accident involving a skylift.
The 25-year-old worker from Sabah, Mohd Amin Wahip was crushed to death when the skylift he was in overshot due to hydraulic problems, The Star Online reports.
It was his third month on the job.
Sungai Buloh OCPD Supt Mohd Rozi Jidin was quoted as saying that Mohd Amin may have ‘mistakenly gone into the skylift’ after working on a ceiling installation.
“The operator of the crane had also left to go to the toilet. There is no criminal element in the incident,” he told The Star Online.
