UPDATE: Online portal Free Malaysia Today is reporting that two more construction workers were discovered in the rubble of the collapsed eight-floor parking structure at the Gombak LRT terminal in Taman Melati.
After a worker reported that two of his friends were still missing, officers continued search efforts, pulling out a husband and wife from the debris at 2:30pm today. The two were found deceased, but hugging each other in their final moments of life.
Kuala Lumpur Fire and Rescue were called to the scene of a construction accident early this morning, when a multi-storied carpark site collapsed on workers.
Three men were injured when the concrete building measuring 2,500-square-feet, attached to the Gombak LRT station, crumbled, trapping them inside, at approximately 1am.

Following the incident, 46 firefighters were dispatched to the scene, along with 28 others from sundry government bodies including the Ministry of Health, DBKL, and the Civil Defence Force, to assist in extricating the trapped men. A canine unit was also deployed to aid in the mission.
Two of the trapped three were rescued shortly after rescue teams arrived on the scene; however, the third man remained lodged under the rubble for hours, only being safely evacuated at 7:30am.
Their current condition remains unknown.
Search and Rescue are still on the scene clearing the rubble and searching for any other victims.
