A civil servant surrendered himself to the police after a 17-year-old girl claimed she was repeatedly raped and sexually assaulted in Pulau Tioman, according to The Star Online.
Rompin OCPD Deputy Supt Muhammad Aidil Roneh Abdullah told the news portal that the 26-year-old suspect reported to the police at 10.30pm on his superior’s request to help facilitate investigations.
However, Muhammad Aidil refused to reveal which government department the suspect was from.
Last Thursday, the victim, a Form Four student who was working part-time at the Kampung Tekek jetty, told a press conference that she was allegedly drugged and repeatedly raped by four people at the jetty and the Customs office. The girl also claimed that her neighbour’s brother had also raped her, while his sister sexually assaulted and took nude pictures and video of her.
She claimed that the incidents took place on the island between March and May this year.
