Citizens rejoice: It’s actually illegal to send an unsolicited dick pic, if the intent was to offend (yes, it’s offensive)

That nude you sent your ex “to show them what they’re missing” might just come back to haunt you, under Malaysia’s Multimedia Act.

A Johor man found this out the hard way, when he was charged with sending obscene materials, including a few pictures of his private parts, to a woman via mobile service WhatsApp three years ago.

Damn, son. You forget about the cloud? Everything gets stored on the cloud.

The man, Nadzri Md Noh, had the charges read to him by a judge yesterday, detailing his cringe-worthy actions he committed between December 29 and December 31, 2014, when a series of scandalous photos were sent to the victim, who the man knew.

Nothing quite says “Happy New Year” like an unsolicited dick pic, am I right?

If found guilty of causing intentional offence, Nadzri, who works in a food stall, could be forced to pay up RM50,000 (US$11,700) and spend a year in jail.

So, there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Before you send out an unsolicited nude, ask yourself two things. One, did the person on the other end specifically ask for this? And two, how the heck did we, as a society, get here?
