China demands information on Flight MH370 from Malaysia

After Prime Minister Dato’ Sri Najib Tun Razak announced last night that Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 had crashed into the Indian Ocean, leaving no survivors, China’s Foreign Ministry stated today that it was demanding Malaysia provide all information and evidence pertaining to the jetliner’s case.

“China has already been informed by Malaysia of this announcement, and we are paying great attention,” the ministry said in a statement.

“China has already demanded that Malaysia further provides all information and evidence about how it reached this conclusion,” it said, adding that China hoped search efforts continued.
