Now that the Kajang by-election campaign period is in full swing, Pemuda Umno’s YouTube channel has released an infomercial of sorts hoping to educate the electorate on the history of Kajang, its claim to Malaysian pop culture … and possibly swing a few votes BN’s way.
Hosted by two peppy and preppy 20-somethings Izni and Fariz, the video looks set to be the first of many by Barisan component parties to mobilise support for its candidate in Kajang, Datin Paduka Chow Mei Fun of the MCA. It remains to be seen if the Pakatan Rakyat will also choose to inundate the internet with their own campaign videos supporting Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the fortnight leading up to the March 23 by-election.
Also, that last segment asking for prayers for and solidarity with missing Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370 was a nice touch.
