Check out Malaysian artist Red Hong Yi’s birthday present for Jackie Chan

Malaysian artist-architect has been tearing through the world’s popular art scene with her clever mixed-media portraits. She’s committed the likenesses of such luminaries as Yuna (out of thousands of musical notes), Myanmari political activist Aung San Suu Kyi  (out of 2000 dyed carnations), and Chinese artist and political dissident Ai Weiwei (with more sunflower seeds than we can count).

For kung fu movie icon Jackie Chan’s 60th birthday, Red took it upon herself to put together a portrait of the screen legend out of 64,000 chopsticks … and then presented the portrait to the man himself. It’s a thing of beauty, and Jackie himself seems to think so, too.
