There are ‘ninjas’ in Kajang, apparently.
Sorely lacking in stealth tactics, these guys robbed an elderly couple in their bungalow in Country Heights and….managed to get caught on closed circuit television (CCTV).
The Star Online‘ Natasha Joibi reports that the duo – dressed in ‘ninja-like’ outfits and brandishing parangs – escaped with RM100,000 worth of cash and valuables after breaking into the house through a back window on the upper floor between 5.45am and 6am on Thursday.
““They used a foldable steel ladder to climb up and enter through the window. The ladder was left behind after the robbery,” district police chief ACP Ab Rashid Ab Wahab was quoted as saying.
He added that the robbers tied the victims up with a clothes line before going through their belongings.
The couple, however, managed to break away and called the police at 6.15am. Both – in their 60s – were unhurt.
