Fancy eschewing earthly delights and looking up instead to check out Saturn, Jupiter and Mars this weekend? The National Space Agency is inviting you to do just that, with their Sidewalk Astronomy Night 2014 event to be held at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa on Saturday night.
The agency will be providing five telescopes for use by members of the public from 8pm to 10pm, free of charge. All you’ll need to do is to turn up at Tepian Pantai in Taman Tasik Titiwangsa a bit ahead of time, sit down for an informative briefing and take part in fun quizzes and activities before handling the scopes. Better yet, if you’re an avid amateur astronomer with equipment of your own, bring your telescope and prop yourself up right next to Angkasa’s setup.
The Sidewalk Astronomy Night 2014 is organized by Angkasa with the cooperation of Kuala Lumpur City Hall.
