A neighborhood car accident that saw a Perodua Myvi skid and hit a parked Perodua Kenari, causing the Kenari to end up halfway in a storm drain took a turn for the dramatic in Taman Sri Andalas, Klang, at 9:45pm on Sunday.
Residents of surrounding houses came out onto the street to make sense of the commotion, and the couple inside of the Myvi panicked at the mob, and quickly called their friends for help.
Shortly after, 15 of them arrived at the scene (wait, what?), and a quarrel between them, and several residents ensued. That quarrel quickly turned violent, with several residents sustaining injuries in the fracas.
It all came to a dramatic end when a 49-year-old resident, who is also a policeman, took out his gun and fired a shot into the air, ending the brawl, and more than likely scaring the bejesus out of everyone involved.
The group of 15 quickly scattered to their respective cars; however, one gentleman hit a female resident as he was driving away. The woman sustained minor injuries.
CCTV helped police track down the culprit, and he was pulled over by police yesterday at 1:30pm. He is said to be in his twenties. Nine of the others involved have also been identified, and can expect a visit from police shortly.
Moral of the story: If you get into an accident and hit someone’s car, just apologize. It sounds pretty much like it was the Myvi’s fault. Say you’re sorry, and call your insurance agent. Next!
