All-you-can-eat D24 Durian McFlurry event at McDonald’s 17 July only

An abundant durian supply, coupled with a prolonged season, has meant that the king of fruits’ ever-present pungent odor has never been too far from (this editor’s) condo hallways.

If eating the sweet, sweet durian flesh is getting too boring for you, take note: Tomorrow, McDonald’s outlets across Malaysia will be holding an all-you-can-eat D24 Durian McFlurry bonanza.

Between the brain freeze, and the heatiness overload that will certainly accompany all of this durian gluttony, we can’t say we’re 100% on-board with the safety of this endeavor, but we’ve never been the kind to stand between anyone, and an all-you-can-eat anything.

The rules? Ok – it’s not quite a wily as McDonald’s marketing would like you to think. You have a one-hour window to eat as much as you can, for RM10 (US$2.50). You need to register beforehand, for this first-come, first-serve, deal – and it’s limited to 20 people per slot. There are only two slots, one from 3pm to 4pm, and another from 5pm to 6pm.

Registration starts 30 minutes before each slot begins, but we wager that you can start lining up NOW to ensure a place on that buffet ice cream train.

Got it? Ok. Go for it. Bring us back a nasi lemak burger, if you can. Thanks.
