Broken Bad: cops shut down mini syabu lab in Kajang

The arrest of two drug pushers during routine drug operations last week led Kajang police to a mini drug lab in nearby Jalan Balam.

Federal police stated today that after interrogation, the two men arrested took police to the laboratory, located in a housing area, and led to the further arrest of two women, aged between 23 and 41. All suspects apprehended were Malaysians.

fz.com reports that 1.3 kg of what is believed to be syabu were seized, with a street value of RM195,000. The police raid initially produced 33.8 grams of crystal powder, believed to be syabu, in a bowl. Further probes uncovered 13 packets of the narcotic weighing about 1.28 kg at the lab.

Police say the suspects are being investigated under Section 39 (B) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries a mandatory death penalty.
