A three-year-old boy was the only survivor of a horrific accident at Jalan Gua Musang-Kuala Krai which killed seven of his family members early Monday morning.
According to The New Straits Times, Muhammad Aqil Aliuddin Mohammad Amin Firdaus’s the family were on the way back to their hometown in Kampung Kubang Badak, Kota Bharu when a five-tonne lorry from Kuala Krai reportedly lost control and veered into the opposite lane.
The lorry then crashed head first into the Perodua Myvi they were in.
Another Myvi and a Perodua Alza were also reportedly involved in the accident.
Muhammad Aqil’s parents – Mohammad Amin Firdaus Zakaria, 29 and Mursyida Ahmad Latfi, 29 – along with his baby sister Nurhana Jannati, were killed in the accident.
Also killed was his aunt Munira, Munira’s husband Norazmi Mahat, 37, and their children; Raidatul Syazwani Abdullah, 4 and one month-old Rifqi.
According to the daily, Muhammad Aqil suffered a broken foot and is being treated at the Gua Musang Hospital.
