A toddler was reportedly found dead at the bottom of an adult swimming pool in Port Dickson today, soon after his father realised he was missing.
The boy, Mohamad Ashrad Hakim, 2, had been at the kiddie pool with his cousins, the New Straits Times reports, and may have wandered off without anyone realising.
His father had been swimming in the adult pool at the time of the incident, Deputy Superintendent Zainudin Ahmad was quoted as saying.
“When the boy’s father realised that his son was missing, the family began a frantic search around the pool area. However, they eventually found Ashrad’s lifeless body at the bottom of the adult swimming pool,” he was quoted as saying.
According to the report, hotel management rushed the boy to the hospital but it was too late. He was pronounced dead upon arrival.
So, so tragic.
